Story by Jenny Paulson – Spirit House Comedy is a monthly Stand Up comedy showcase produced by local pariah, John Brown. The show features, national touring headliners, up and coming heavy hitters, and hand picked local favorites.

At the next show, scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 8 pm, you can enjoy comedians at the Spirit House, a renovated theater in downtown Pueblo. You can get your tickets now at the the Spirit House or the Downtown Bar.

The featured act, hosted by Spirit House Comedy, is Denver comic, Sam Tallent, known for his whip-quick wit and rollicking improvisations. He is considered one of the sharpest, most original rising talents in comedy today and his stop in Pueblo is one of many in his jam packed schedule where he’ll make audiences laugh all over the U.S. this summer.

Tallent has been called “the absurd voice of a surreal generation” by The Denver Post. When not maintaining a “Black Flag esque tour schedule” (Savage Henry Magazine), Sam has worked alongside many of the biggest names in comedy including Dave Chappelle, Doug Stanhope, Kyle Kinane, Dana Carvey, Russel Peters, Hannibal Buress, and Ron White.
He recently won his battle on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, and was seen on VICELAND’s Flophouseas well as the Chris Gethard Show. His writing has been published on VICE.com.

Tallent will be joined July 20th in Pueblo, by Denver’s Alan Bromwell, as well as the Darling of Southern Colorado, Adriana Holmes.
Bromwell is a stand-up comedian and writer from Denver, Colorado. He was recently featured as Comic of the Week on Denver’s Comedy 103.1 FM. He is a regular performer at the Comedy Works in Denver, and also produces a weekly open mic at the White Whale Room. He and has performed at many other clubs and theaters across North America.

Holmes, labeled as Southern Colorado’s sweetheart comic, has been in the stand-up comedy scene for several years. As the mother of 5 kids, she says she may be an amateur, but that some of her talent comes from being surrounded by live comedy routines, that unfold daily in front of her own eyes at home. She has impressed audiences in Pueblo and the Southern Colorado region, and has been a featured act now in multiple states.
