Studio Share: Downtown Yoga and Fitness Club Receives June “Spotlight On Local Business” Award

Story by Jenny Paulson – Christina McCann, the owner of Pueblo Share was recognized by the Pueblo County Commissioners in June for being an exceptional locally owned business. Studio Share is a donation based fitness facility offering an extensive schedule of yoga and fitness classes, taught by over 20 specialized instructors.

McCann opened her downtown Pueblo studio to provide accessible and affordable yoga and fitness classes for our community and she has since expanded offering classes on the Riverwalk, Mineral Palace Park and various other venues.

Participants rave in their reviews about Studio Share, saying it has amazing teachers, each one unique, with their own style, and that every class is different.

McCann’s stated company mission is to provide the accessibility of Yoga to all those who seek it. Realizing part of the barrier to its access is the financial consideration, Studio Share offers generosity-based classes, with the suggested donation of $5-$10 per class.

“We truly we mean what we say, give what you can,” according to the company website. “We want you here, practicing yoga and participating in your community, contributing what you can. Whether it’s the change in your pocket, a kind gesture or an exchange of services, Studio Share is open to different ways of doing business.”

She spent time in Denver and again Colorado Springs, completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Alliance, and after years of practicing and teaching, she opened Studio Share in Pueblo to provide a place for her and other teachers to share the love of yoga and fitness.

Studio Share’s yoga, spinning, pilates and other fitness classes take place at their downtown studio and at other locations, weather permitting, including at Squawk Coffee’s patio, Mineral Palace and the Riverwalk at Brues Alehouse (which you can enjoy Pints & Yoga).
