LOCAL MUSICIAN JEREMY KITCHEN IS A REGULAR AT MO’S SPORTS BAR & LOUNGE WHERE YOU CAN ALSO GRAB A BEER AND A GREAT MEAL

Kitchen, who is 31-years-old, describes himself as a multi-genre acoustic cover artist. He moved to Pueblo from Texas and now plays local gigs and has become a regular at Mo’s in downtown Pueblo since early this year.

He says he’s entirely self-taught (since 15) and has played music for a living for about 7-8 years now. “I love all types of music and try to play something from all genres and decades as far back as the 50s to today’s hits,” he said. “I love hip hop the most which tends to shine through at my shows.”

Before moving to Pueblo, he used to travel a lot with a Houston band that performed clubs and casinos throughout Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Florida as well as over 50+ bars in the Houston/Galveston area. He also teaches music and is currently writing his own music, that he’ll revel to us at upcoming shows.

Located at 325 S. Union in Downtown Pueblo, Mo’s is one of Pueblo’s newest venues. They opened last September, with twelve, 65 inch huge tv’s, then expended their selection of drinks, menu items and entertainment, including live music, attracting a diverse following. Their historic building with a wood bar is similar to what one might find at an English pub.
Mo’s is also hosting Thursday Open Mic Nights.

Here’s a sampling of what eats you can enjoy at Mo’s Sports Bar & Lounge, some items of which you won’t find at other restaurants, that are quite affordable (starting at $3), including:

Cowboy Beans (pintos with warm tortillas), Texas Red Chili (with cheese and onions), Freeto Pie (corn chips with chili, onions, cheese), Green Chile (with pork and tortillas), Sloppadilla (cheese quesadilla with green Chile for dipping), Burritos (beef, potatoes, green Chile, cheese)), Beer Dogs (traditional, texan or sweet and spicy) and healthy salads.

The restaurant also just won the 2019 People’s Choice Award for the best mild chili and best dessert (made with local chiles) in Pueblo in a chamber of commerce sponsored contest.

Mo’s is now also featuring karaoke, live music, and improvs. Let’s applaud the owners (Laura Walters and Rob Grisham) and managers of this establishment for adding yet another great locally owned food and music scene to our city.
