The Pueblo City-County Library District has partnered with Kanopy to offer a whole catalog of engaging, educational, and inspirational films and documentaries. All you need is a library card!

Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video platform for public libraries and universities that offers viewers a large collection of award-winning films and documentaries. Kanopy includes children’s programming with its subdivision Kanopy Kids that parents can trust; all members have access to the children’s videos section with their account. 

To enjoy a diverse catalog with new titles added every month with your local library card, to www.kanopy.com. At your streaming choice, you’ll be able to view up to 10 tiles per month, with a loan period of three days.

Kanopy’s mission is to democratize meaningful film and television is made possible through partnerships with public libraries and universities. They have grown to reach over 4,000 public libraries and campuses worldwide.

Public library patrons, and university students and faculty are able to watch Kanopy free-of-charge with their institution’s library card, as paid for by faculties on a watch on a per-view basis.

Librarians have access to an administrative dashboard which allows them to view user analytics and adjust budgets.

Kanopy was founded in 2008 by CEO Olivia Humphrey, as an educational tool for universities. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
